Assisted by the giIed sound engineer Errol Thompson, Gibbs issued many of the most popular and in?uenDal recordings of the period, performed by some of the island's most celebrated arDsts. During this Dme, he released two similarly branded vinyl collecDons, each comprising ten of the ?nest roots and DJ sounds from the period: 'United Dreadlocks', Volumes 1 and 2. These hugely popular long-players provide the focus of this two CD collecDon, with their respecDve track lisDngs bolstered by the cream of the producer's output from 1976 to 1977.
